Insurance giant Amlin has become the headline sponsor of the Andretti Formula E team.
The partnership was announced today, with the American team assuming a new electric blue livery in time for testing next week at Donington Park. The outfit is one of the sport’s eight new constructors and will be fielding a new powertrain.
Current E was granted exclusive access to team owner Michael Andretti, team principal Roger Griffiths and the team’s confirmed season two driver Simona de Silvestro in an intimate event at Amlin’s new offices at London’s Leadenhall building.
Formula E presenter Nicki Shields was also in attendance.
Charles Philipps, CEO at Amlin, said: “Amlin and Andretti were quick to spot the potential of Formula E. Both organisations are data driven and tech-focused, meaning there is much to look forward to over the coming seasons. Amlin’s global strength in data analysis and our long-term view of business means fits well with this series and, combined with Andretti’s excellent motorsport pedigree, means we are looking forward to a fantastic few years.”
