This is the planned layout for the Montreal Formula E circuit, which will play host to the final two rounds of the third season, according to a report in Canadian publication Pole Position.
The 2.8km route runs around the streets of Montreal and not on the purpose-built Circuit Gilles Villeneuve which hosts the city’s Formula 1 race. However, this Formula E course is just a stone’s throw away from that track.
The layout is typical of Formula E, featuring a set of 90-degree corners and a chicane to maximise the number of overtaking opportunities (which could be key for the title showdown) and sits right next to the St Lawrence river.
There has been no official confirmation yet of the route that the season three Formula E fixture in Montreal will take. The publication points out that these roads have all been approved for resurfacing within the next few months, however.
