Current E has formed a partnership with Mahindra to create a new technical content section, called Blueprints. This area of the site will be used to post infographics, data and features that will help fans get to grips with the technology and terminology used in Formula E.
“Working closely with Mahindra – a $16.5bn engineering and manufacturing federation of companies – will give us unique access into the workings of the Mahindra Racing Formula E team,” says Ross Ringham, editor at Current E. “That will enable us to step up the technical content that Current E is already known for.”
This new section will fall under the remit of Current E’s new technical editor, Craig Scarborough (better known as Scarbs). “I’m excited at the prospect of being able to work very closely with a Formula E team and its engineers in this manner,” Scarbs comments. “At Current E, we enjoy great relationships throughout the Formula E paddock, but this will give us a platform to develop a new set of infographics, explanatory illustrations and data sets.”
Dilbagh Gill, Mahindra Racing Team Principal added, “Our goal is to demystify Formula E for fans and members of the public. It is a new championship and we want to be as open as possible and encourage people to get involved. It’s fantastic to be working with both Current E and Scarbs on this new and exciting venture.”
