Formula E has linked up with social media giant Facebook to provide even more online access to the sport.
Under the new deal, track sessions will be streamed live via Facebook to fans in Spain. Elsewhere, highlights and live feeds from drivers will be available through the platform.
The partnership is just the latest in a series of digital feats: the new championship, which has yet to begin its second season, has already proved adept in the use of GrabYo, Twitter, YouTube, Periscope and Instagram, not to mention similar channels in China. Facebook, with its enormous worldwide reach, is simply the next step in Formula E’s pioneering programme that is rethinking the way that sports coverage is delivered.
