Felix Rosenqvist has suffered a battery fault on the car he was going to use for qualifying for today’s Montreal race.
The team is hard at work rebuilding Rosenqvist’s powertrain. The race battery is part of the structure of the car and is bolted directly to the monocoque “survival cell”. Swapping the battery means dismantling the entire rear of the car, including removing the motor and transmission.
The team’s strategy is to use Rosenqvist’s other car for qualifying.
