Friday in Berlin was a quiet affair. The roads were shut relatively early in the day to allow the track construction to be completed in time for shakedown, which was much later than usual at 5.30pm local time.
That meant a long stretch of warm German afternoon with little in the way of planned activity, which gave the pitlane a somewhat sleepy feel.
Tomorrow will be very different, as the circuit becomes the penultimate venue of the 2015-16 Formula E championship. ABT and Renault confirmed unchanged season three driver line-ups, which means that the intense rivalry between Lucas di Grassi and Sebastien Buemi thus far this season will continue for quite some time to come.
