Video: Formula E racing car speeds through Berlin.
Unveiling Berlin as the 10th and final city to join the first season of Formula E, official Formula E development driver and current F1 tyre test driver Lucas di Grassi took to the streets in an all electric open-wheeled prototype racing car.
“Berlin is a city that is young, that is cool and that is concerned with green issues and sustainability. It’s a city which has everything we want for our championship,” said Alejandro Agag, the series promoter. “Many people still think that electric cars are boring, slow, and ugly. We want to change that. Electric cars are the future.”
Watching di Grassi speeding through the streets of the German capital, it’s difficult to argue.
